Project Manager, Communications

Are you a creative writer, strategic partner, and curious learner who can collaborate with executives on projects as well as work independently? Our client, a Fortune 500 tech company, seeks a Communications consultant for a pivotal role with one of their gaming initiatives. In this role, you will use your skills to lead communication strategies that align with and amplify the organization’s mission and vision.

Location: Remote (United States)
Dates: July 13– June 30, 2023
Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week


Project Management

  • Projects To Be Determined – examples: the team hosts a panel discussion at a conference (coordinate logistics, speakers, briefing, etc.)
  • Other miscellaneous projects –do random things like support an event, organize something and pull things together. Pay attention to detail, follow through, and manage multiple things at once. Make sure people are informed, etc.
  • Drive the creation of SWAG or notebooks for events.

Communications work

  • The writing style is conversational, relaxed tone. Some jargon, but the audience is all of the gaming team
  • Write monthly newsletter to the entire gaming org (updates, product examples, telling the stories to inspire and inform the org)
    • Capture stories from across org- interview Subject Matter Experts, write the story, work through revisions and publish. The goal of each story is to help share success happening in the org, WHY that work was valuable, and how others reading could move to follow suit.
    • Element of executive communications: Write intro from team Director. Must be able to capture her voice, anticipate messaging, etc.
    • Publishing includes updating an email template, posting content on SharePoint, and creating a screen-reader version of the content
    • Manage editorial calendar of stories
  • Write and develop content for the Resources Hub
    • Develop case studies on product-led inclusion, resources, etc.
    • Ingest new data & insights and turn them into new resource pieces
  • Manage SharePoint presence on a dedicated site and Resources Hub (internal websites)
    • Must be familiar with the Modern SharePoint platform
    • Upload/edit content, add web parts, manage permissions, etc.
  • Develop PowerPoints and storytelling narrative for the team's continued evolution
  • Develop Comms plan to drive broader engagement with the broader team
