Paid Media Manager II

One of our newer clients, a top leader in the video game industry, is looking to add an experienced performance marketing leader to its cross-product Paid Media team. We need someone who is a builder and problem-solver, ready to tackle new challenges by creating solutions that have never been done before in the User Acquisition industry. The ideal candidate knows the advertising ecosystem deeply enough to not only take full advantage of all its tools and strengths, but to understand and innovate past its fundamental flaws. In this role you will lead media strategy for one or more of their first party titles, working with marketing, creative, analytics, and product teams to drive growth and improved engagement through paid and organic channels.

Location: Remote (United States)
Dates: June 15, 2022– December 15, 2022, with possible extension
Hours: Full Time - 40 hours per week


  • Paid media strategy and campaign execution across PC, mobile, and console games
  • Privacy-first measurement and attribution
  • Working with engineers and analysts to build in house systems for reporting and programmatic optimization
  • Funnel optimization
  • Spearheading new ways of problem-solving for growth and retention utilizing quantitative and creative methods
  • Building in house multi-variate testing for ads
  • Working with the game and marketing teams to build out marketing plans and campaigns for key initiatives
  • Ad partner management--including a hands-on approach, working with partners to test new things and push what is possible

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ experience executing paid media campaigns and an expert buying through at least one of the following ad partners: Facebook/Instagram, Google, TikTok, mobile ad networks, DSPs
  • Bonus if they have experience with: Snapchat, Twitter, GDN, Xbox, or Sony
  • Experience in digital media, preferably within the games industry across PC, mobile, and console verticals with an excess of 4 years of directly relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate performance to a diverse internal audience of executives, creatives, and engineers; with clarity and data accuracy
  • Full understanding of UA attribution: how it works, attribution logic/models, all types of fraud, and data privacy
  • Experience running global campaigns, including insights and optimization based on different countries and cultures
  • Have designed and built an automated solution that made a significant impact on company KPIs
  • Have pioneered new products and optimization methods with ad partners
  • Extensive practical experience running self-service and managed UA including search, social, programmatic, influencer; non-digital a bonus
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Experience designing, running, and reporting creative tests
  • Experience doing UA worldwide, knowing the channel, creative, and bidding nuances of each major region
  • Experience in Excel, Tableau; SQL and query skills a bonus
  • Experience building teams and working independently
